I know I say that I love photographing every demographic I write about, but I really do have a special place in my heart for other makers, authors, artists, and small business owners. Photographing couples is a celebration of love, families a celebration of growth, and photographing artists and creators a celebration of bringing dreams to life. If that's not magical I don't know what is.
It is such an honor to have even a small part in highlighting makers. Every creator I know pours so much of themselves into their art. Whether your niche is writing, graphic design, candle making, or coordinating community and events, collaboration gives me life. The biggest challenge I see makers facing is the challenge of doing it all. Being the web designer, photographer, creator, salesperson, book-keeper, and still finding time to just be a human. The job is staggering. I understand not every business is ready to outsource photography. Depending on your business it may be a nice to have, a need to have, or even a celebratory splurge.
